Move over Saucony Endorphin Pro and Nike VaporFly, there is a new kid in town and it’s name is the Rocket X- “an unprecedented performance shoe” from Hoka One One (Hoka, 2020).
The Rocket X is another needed tool in a runner’s tool box. The lightweight EVA foam allows for a soft touch to the underside of the foot, but a responsive ride down the road to your next win at a virtual 5K. The open mesh upper also provides a comfortable fit and breathability. The Carbon X, which holds the 50 mile world record held by Jim Wamsley, is meant for logging ultra marathon miles.  Whereas the new Rocket X is made for the 5K and 10K.  This new speedy shoe is a good fit for a competitive weekend warrior, an elite high school cross country athlete or college runner.  Do not count Hoka out when it comes to performance.  This carbon-plated speedster rings in at $180 US.

“I recommend 3RRC because they truly care and make you feel like family. The store has so much combined running knowledge that they will set you up for success whether you are walking for fitness or endurance running.”
