Move over Saucony Endorphin Pro and Nike VaporFly, there is a new kid in town and it’s name is the Rocket X- “an unprecedented performance shoe” from Hoka One One (Hoka, 2020).
The Rocket X is another needed tool in a runner’s tool box. The lightweight EVA foam allows for a soft touch to the underside of the foot, but a responsive ride down the road to your next win at a virtual 5K. The open mesh upper also provides a comfortable fit and breathability. The Carbon X, which holds the 50 mile world record held by Jim Wamsley, is meant for logging ultra marathon miles.  Whereas the new Rocket X is made for the 5K and 10K.  This new speedy shoe is a good fit for a competitive weekend warrior, an elite high school cross country athlete or college runner.  Do not count Hoka out when it comes to performance.  This carbon-plated speedster rings in at $180 US.

“Training with others and witnessing their accomplishments motivates and inspires me. I’ve recommended 3RRC to runners of all abilities. The employees are not only experts, but are friendly and patient in making sure customers are matched with the best products for their running objectives.”
