Join us for a night of blues at Baker Street Music Centre on Saturday, September 19th with Eric Johanson and special guest Danny Garwood. Show begins at 7:30 pm, doors open at 6:30 pm.
New Orleans based Eric Johanson blends sharp songwriting with a deep connection to the guitar, creating music that's dynamic, soulful, and rooted in a mix of rock, blues, and modern influences. Johanson broke out with his #1 Billboard Blues album The Deep and the Dirty, then followed it last year with his sixth Top 10 charting release, Live In Mississippi, capturing the fire of a stage show that's been packing rooms across the U.S. and Europe. Named one of Guitar Player Magazines 25 Best New Blues Guitarists and one of the Greatest Blues Guitarists of All Time by Total Guitar, Johanson delivers modern blues-rock with grit, power, and raw electricity. As American Songwriter puts it, he displays his guitar prowess but within the borders of melodies and lyrics that push the boundaries of blues/rock searing guitar work, and persuasive songwriting.
Starting at the age of 8, Danny Garwood has had a passion for the guitar, drawing inspiration from artists like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, John Mayer, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Healey and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Based in Nashville, TN, his mission is to keep the blues alive and pass it on to the next generation of musicians. The musical journey began at the age of 10, when he attended his first jam session and was invited to play. This experience ignited a deep love for the guitar, leading to regular jam sessions and live performances starting at age 11.
