The Altevogt Family Scholarship

Three Rivers Running Company, Inc. funds a college scholarship program that awards a scholarship to one incoming University of Saint Francis student-athlete each year to help them continue their education, and to continue to compete in cross country and track at the collegiate level.  

The initial eligibility criteria for qualifying for the scholarship include:

Student-athletes who:

• Are graduating from a high school in the Three Rivers Running Companys market area (defined as the 15 counties in northeast Indiana  Adams, Allen, Blackford, Dekalb, Elkhart, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, Lagrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, and Whitley as well as Northwest Ohio).
• Ran cross country and track for their high school all four years.
• Have maintained a designated GPA in high school (3.50).  
• Plan to enroll in and run cross country and track for University of Saint Francis.
• Complete and file a scholarship application to be considered for the scholarship, including required documentation regarding eligibility (high school transcript, coachs letter of recommendation, etc.)

Each scholarship will be for $2,000, payable to the university on behalf of the individual recipient over four (4) years at $500 per year.  The university will determine the recipients of the scholarship, based on the above criteria.  Each recipient will be required to meet academic and athletic criteria each year, as specified by the university, to continue to receive the scholarship over the 4-year period.

This scholarship program was initiated in Spring 2019 for the 2019-2020 school year, with the initial recipient coming from the 2019 high school graduating class.
